Margarett McBride, a graduate student in Developmental Psychology, is the recipient of a 2021 Carolina Center for Public Service Community Engagement Fellowship.

The Community Engagement Fellowship program awards a maximum of eight fellowships of up to $2,000 each year to graduate and professional students for engagement or engaged scholarship projects that are responsive to community priorities and have an academic connection. Fellows work in collaboration with community partners and faculty mentors who are familiar with their topics or geographic areas, while fellows are responsible for the major planning and implementation of their projects. The fellowships run from March through November.

Margarett received a fellowship for her project, “Cities United Young Leader Network and Fellowship,” which she will complete in partnership with Cities United. Read more about her project online.
