Vanessa Volpe, a graduate student in Developmental Psychology, is a recipient of the 2016 Student Undergraduate Teaching Award.

The Student Undergraduate Teaching Awards were established in 1989 and is funded by student fees to provide monetary awards to exemplary professors and teaching assistants. The winners of the awards are nominated by undergraduate students and the final selection is made by a committee composed entirely of members of the undergraduate student body. Professor and teaching assistant award recipients are selected based on demonstrated and consistent excellence in undergraduate teaching, creation of a dynamic intellectual environment, respect for intellectual diversity, and success in positively affecting a broad spectrum of students both in and outside the classroom.
