Kathy Do, a graduate student in Developmental Psychology, was named the first UNC Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) Fellow.

The Biomedical Research Imaging Center houses state-of-the-art imaging equipment, directs innovative imaging research programs, and asserts outstanding skill and knowledge in imaging applications. BRIC provides world-class clinical and pre-clinical imaging services to researchers within the University system and to researchers from institutions and companies in the surrounding area with cutting-edge imaging hardware such as PET/MR, PET/CT, MRI, SPECT, Optical Imaging, and Ultrasound. As BRIC Fellow, Kathy will be trained to run the Prisma Scanner, a 3T MR whole body scanner available for use in both human and animal studies.
